3Doodler: World's first 3D printing pen hits Maplin

Big Shiny Shiny fans will remember that last year we covered the 3Doodler, the world’s first 3D-printing pen that had just launched a Kickstarter project. Well it turned into one helluva success story, because fast-forward 14 months and the 3Doodler is being sold exclusively in Maplin.

The 3Doodler allows you to draw anything you like in the air, which is then printed into a 3D object in real-time. Those looking for a relatively cheap first step into the weird and wonderful world of 3D printing can now buy the 3Doodler from Maplin for £99.99.
