life-band-touch-big.jpgWell everyone else is bidding for a slice of the wearable tech pie, why not LG and Google too?

According to Cnet, Google is set to launch a smartwatch OS next month and an actual smartwatch a few months later down the line.

Cnet’s anonymous source revealed that Google will design the software for the device and launch it, relying on LG for the hardware – just like the Nexus 4 and 5 smartphones. This makes sense given LG is already experimenting with wearables, such as its Lifeband Touch (pictured above) and Heart Rate Monitor earphones.
