The great thing about Android is that it’s just so customisable compared to iPhone. Not only can you install apps and widgets, but you can even install entire new homescreen launchers – replacing the app that launches apps on your phone. There’s loads of great options – and here’s our pick of five of the most interesting.
Facebook Home is probably the launcher with the biggest corporate backing. Facebook Home turns your phone into a Facebook machine - seamlessly merging your phone’s user experience with that of Facebook. You can chat to your friends without having to go into an app - and their little pinned icons will float atop other apps too. Your lock screen becomes a slideshow of your friends’ photos and status updates, and worry not - you can still access all of your apps too. The only downside is that you’ll need a fairly new phone to run it - the likes of Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One.
