At risk of sounding like a charlatan touting a miracle cure, If That Then This, or Ifttt for short could change your life – today! We use so many different web services in our everyday lives – from Twitter and Facebook, to Google Drive, Foursquare, Instagram, Tumblr and YouTube. What Ifttt does it help all of these things talk to each other more easily.
Once you’ve signed up to Ifttt, you’re able to create “recipes” by mixing together different services. For example – you can create a recipe that will automatically cross-post your tweets to your Tumblr – or even download all of your email attachments to Dropbox, as each email arrives.
It’s all very clever – but very simple to use. The Ifttt website has big buttons so in a few clicks, you’ve automated something that was previously a massive chore. Here’s our pick of some of the best ways of making life easier using Ifttt.
