10 Bright & colourful Kindle Fire, Fire HD & Paperwhite cases & accessories

We might be big fans of Apple’s iPad range here at Shiny Shiny, but during a cool Amazon showcase last week we had some hands-on time with the new Kindle Fire HD tablet and needless to say we were pretty damn impressed with the online retailer’s offering.

Tech Digest editor Gerald Lynch wrote up his top 10 free Kindle Fire HD apps and today we’re here to bring you some of our favourite cases and accessories for a few of our favourite Kindles, all of which are bright and happy, just in time for spring (we hope).

  • I wonder if the writer actually owns a Kindle. The Amazon case is lacking for anyone trying to use the case as a stand. In addition, although Gelaskins has the most beautiful skins available, they don't cover the entire back of the Fire (the front is fine). DecalGirl skins are measured with much more attention to fit, and IMO, are a better value for the money.

The Vibe case, while nice, has some design flaws. I reviewed it here (http://www.amazon.com/review/R… and if you're looking for a case that doesn't add a lot of weight, you should use Marware's Microshell case.

Last, but not least, you made no mention of any keyboard for the device, Poetic has a nice Keybook case, with a removable keyboard, and other bluetooth keyboards make a good addition, especially if they are targeted to an Android device and include Home and back keys,
