We've been writing up Christmas gift guides now for the past few weeks and although some retailers will still deliver presents right up to the last minute (well, until Christmas Eve), it's starting to get a bit late to order all kinds of weird and wonderful things from the interwebz.
Well fear not, because we're here to help you with your last-minute dash to the shops and have collected together our favourite UK high street tech finds that you'll hopefully be able to pick up in a big city or small town near you.

Boots

Most UK towns have a Boots of some shape or size lurking on a main high street and even the smallest of branches could answer your last-minute gift problems. Boots is your go-to destination for electrical beauty products, so think shavers, curling tongs, hairdryers and skincare gadgets. When it comes to hair styling, gone are the days of fiddling around with hair in nasty metal clamps, now tongs are wands that allow you to twist strands around a heated barrel without causing too much damage. We like the Babyliss Boutique Tong (1, £29.99), an ideal gift for sisters, mums and girlfriends with medium to long hair who like messing around with it already. The latter may seem like a bit of a fad, but products like the Love My Skin Spotlight Treatment (2, £33.32) and the more pricey Silk n’ Reju light emitting device (3, £199.99) are proving to be really popular. There are a wide range of shaving products to choose from too, but the Philips SensoTouch (4, £71.99) is on offer right now, so go grab a bargain. If you’re lucky enough to live near a larger Boots store with photo processing, then you’ll also find a limited number of great cameras too. If you’re looking for something specific and more advanced for a present this year then we’d suggest visiting a more specialist store but Boots is great for a number of latest gadgets and simple point and shoots. Although Samsung’s Galaxy Camera has been making waves, the Samsung Smart Wi-Fi ST200F (5, £149.99) is ideal for those on a tighter budget who still want a capable device. It features 10X optical zoom and has built-in wi-fi connectivity too. At 18.99mm it’s super slim and comes in plum, black and white. For a basic budget option then go for the Fuji FinePix JZ100 (6, £79.99) in silver, it’s got a 14MP sensor, 6 X optical zoom lens and allows you to easily upload photos to the web.
