A number of our favourite brands have been using Instagram for some time now, from those we'd expect like Starbucks and Red Bull to a few more surprising and insightful examples, such as Playboy and ABC News over in the US.
However, the highly visual nature of Instagram means it's a favourite among fashion brands that are looking for new ways to showcase their products and give fans and followers a behind-the-scenes peek at the fast paced and highly aspirational industry.
Here's our pick of ten very interesting uses of Instagram by a number of fashion brands, from quirky Threadless through to high-end Gucci.
To celebrate Instagram week we're running an easy to enter mobile photography competition with our friends at Orbitsound. All you have to do is take a photo with an Autumnal theme and share it on Twitter along with the hash tag #ShinyAutumn. It can be of a leaf or a Halloween costume, we really don't mind. The winner will get a fabulous T12v3 speaker bar from Orbitsound and 19 runners up will get random iPhone related goodies.
Visit the #ShinyAutumn competition post to find out more.
Gucci

One of the first big fashion brands using Instagram, the Gucci team update with a range of photos from catwalk shows to behind-the-scenes snaps of celebrities, photo shoots and an insight into how the products and clothes are made.
