What apps will make you a better Catholic? A better Muslim?

The findings were plentiful and varied: not only are there simple copies of the Bible, Torah, Koran and friends but there are ones that actually utilise the specific functions of the iPhone and iPad. Take for instance the Halal restaurant finder or the compass app that points you in the right direction of Jerusalem for Jewish prayer. Handy! Here are out favourite picks of the bunch. Warning: some more reverent than others…

  • You can also go for this unique app I came across, Amrit Dhara Apps. This app not only gives you the collection of all aartis, mantras, chalisas, shlokas, bhajans and chalisas, but also gives you the location of almost all the Hindu sacred places with details, and that too “across the globe”. It has many other features too, you can check this app out here : http://www.damcogroup.com/amri
