Its been a while since we have heard from the location based social network Gowalla, but today they announced a significant partnership with Disney.
The location based network that often gets over shadowed by Four-Square is teaming up with Disney Parks to create a branded Gowalla-powered destination guide for park-goers to explore Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts.
Park visitors will be able to view park happenings with custom Disney Passport pages that will include maps featuring a check-in stream, a list of popular places, curated trips, and more. You will also be able to collect stamps from various destinations and unlock special stamps for visiting certain destinations. The Stamps collected will be redeemable for special rewards and virtual goods.
This is a huge win for Gowalla, as partnering with Disney is sure to see a rise in location-based service’s userbase.
