Geek Chic of the Week: Rubik's cube for the blind

rubik_cubeblind.jpg

Despite my geek credentials I must admit to never having managed to complete a Rubik’s cube. I’ve struggled many hours with one, and the only way I’ve ever managed to make the colours line up is by cheating.

Just because you have poor vision is no reason not get involved with the nefarious cube, so a clever bod has come up with a novel way for the blind to play, They’ve created a cube which is made up of a bunch of different materials; wood, textile, rubber, plastic and stone. Each side now feels unique, and means people who are lacking vision can now get frustrated enjoy the cube.
