Say no!no! to spots with this zit zapper

no!no!.jpegThe area of acne is a big business for skincare. Everyone from troubled teens to forty something’s want to put the dreaded spots to rest, and are prepared to pay big bucks to do so. We’ve already seen the the Zeno hit the marketplace to tackle pimples with heat technology, but now there’s a new kid on the block.

Say hello to the no!no! Skin, a pocket friendly device that works on your spots. It works in a similar way to the Zeno, using heat and light to target the blemish at its source and minimize its appearance and lifetime on the skin. It uses green and red light to reach into the pore to combat the blemish at its source. The light destroys the blemish whilst the heat speeds up the healing process, and reduces swelling.

The problem is that this device can’t be used on any acne, so sufferers beware. It’s not suitable for comedonal acne (white heads and blackheads) or severe acne, but anyone who falls into the middle groups of moderate pustules and pimples can be treated.

Unlike the Zeno, this device is exceedingly quick to use (hey I have a very short attention span) and only needs to be held against the skin for `10 seconds, rather than 2 and a half minutes. After a minute you reapply and then leave the spot for at least 6 hours before re-doing.

I’ve been using the no!no! Skin for a couple of weeks now and have to say I’m pretty impressed with it. No, my skin hasn’t suddenly morphed into Britney’s photoshopped album covers but there’s definite improvement, Best of all, stubborn chest spots which haven’t budged for years have been reduced and I feel a lot more confident.

The heat does leave a slight red mark on the skin, so either do this at night, or wear high necked tops if you don’t want to look blotchy but it does fade within an hour or two. Price wise it’s not the cheapest tool on the market, but if you’re having no luck with Clearasil or Dermalogica this could be the next step.
