The BeoSound is a rather stunning piece of kit. It draws inspiration from the concept that the best music is shared music and provides a very visual centrepiece to audio pleasure. The user interface comprises of a digital screen with aluminium wheel, giving the user easy access to all their stored tunes. The BeoSound has a 500GB hard drive, so it will be able to hold your whole music collection, plus whatever songs your friends bring round, and the navigation is colour coded.
Think of the interface as the iPod's very mature elder brother and you'll be happy scrolling through the data with the wheel and pointer letting you navigate graphics and fonts. Not only is it a unique way of managing your music, you can also customize it to your preferred colours and setting, making it more personal.
The device also integrates Bang & Olufsen's MOTS (More Of The Same Technology) which is an intelligent playlist system which analyzes your song choices and selects similar ones for you to enjoy, much like the Music Genome project.
