Xboxers are getting a mandatory software update tomorrow, and whilst normally these aren't much to shout about, the Xbox Experience promises much to make you fall in love all over again.

First up it's slicker, and a lot easier to navigate - for instance, you can now browse the HD downloadable content in Windows Media-type fashion. The update also introduces the option to hold parties, albeit slightly sad parties, with your virtual mates, with voice messaging over games in real time, as well as the ability to remotely share photos.

Gaming wise, you can now install the games to your hard disc drive (although you'll still need the disc to verify it) which drastically shortens the load time and reduces the fan noise. If you're after some DIY gaming efforts, there'll also be a Community Games channel, full of stuff made by hobbyists and enthusiasts. Lovely stuff.

Finally, there are avatars, should you have been left feeling a little depersonalised with Xboxes last efforts.

Wow!This is so cool! Hubby is a huge fan of Xbox and with this new design and feature I can't help myself but be fascinated with it as well.
