Robots and little girls should not be combined

replee.pngIt's a picture of a little girl, there's nothing techy about that right? Wrong. It's a robot disguised as a little girl (I know), also known as Repliee, created by automaton obsessed geekazoids at Osaka University. Other than creeping the hell out of anyone that casts their gaze over the little humanoid, it's been designed to do... not that much actually. She blinks those chillingly saggy eyes, she talks (hopefully not in an eerie tone), judders slightly, and attempts to move like a human. The picture really doesn't do it justice - it's waaaaaay scarier than that. Check her/it out in a video after the jump.

Let's hope there's not a robopocalypse in the foreseeable future. An army of Repliee's doesn't bear thinking about. It'd be the most frightening experience of your life (and last) - and that's before they torture you and remove your brain.

Is it just me or is there something about robots and little girls combined that's inherently evil. I'm having visions of taking her down with a sledgehammer to save the world from her evil prowess. I fear I may have nightmares tonight!

Judge for yourself how creepy she is right here.
