Pick a flavor, any Philips flavor and clip it onto your TV : Shiny Shiny

The annual Philips Simplicity event - the one that always unveils a whole host of fun, exciting and innovative gadgety concepts, that would make the biggest geeks squeal with excitement - is taking place as I type. Susi is currently over there in Moscow, no doubt getting excitable and hands on with everything they have to show - keep your eyes peeled for videos from her. The first thing to catch our eye is these swappable faceplates for Philips' new flat high-gloss white TV - available in 42, 32 and 22-inch models with 30,000:1 contrast ratio, and 1080p resolution on offer for the 42-incher. Fed up of your black bezzle adorning your TV, giving it now sense of style and not reflecting your cerazy personality at all? This appears to be the answer to that gripe.

They've given it a rather delectable sounding name too - Flavors TV (yep, without the u - no wonder I couldn't find it in Google). If you haven't already guessed, its main attraction is the colourful and patterned range of removable frames (there's 12), which are removable in a matter of seconds and are "targeted at consumers who want fashionable objects for their home".

Philips tells us the Flavors TV has been specifically designed to hang on the wall, so you're provided with a wall mounting system that's only 16mm thick. It's also thrown in a few additional features too for that added appeal, like the choice of on-screen menus to match your choice of frame, matching white cabling and high-gloss white remote - which aren't interchangeable I'm afraid.

Apparently, the faceplates work in a similar way to the Xbox 360, allowing you to match your TV with your décor, your hair, or the cat (it's completely up to you). There's also a matching Flavors home theatre system with interchangeable frames if you wanted to complete the collection.

The Flavors TV is initially rolling out in Italy, but if it proves a success, we'll be seeing it and its colourful friends in the UK.
