The big thing surrounding Nokia at the moment might very well be the Tube or the 5800 XpressMusic handset, but they haven't forgotten about the pay-as-you-goers. Last month we told you Nokia would be lacing their 5310 XpressMusic handset with their unlimited music download service Comes With Music and would be teaming up with Carphone Warehouse, the chosen exclusive pre-pay retailer for the phone. So, in exchange for £129.95 of your hard earned cash, you get a reasonably attractive handset and unlimited access to the Comes With Music service for a whole year. You even get to keep your downloaded tracks when the 365 days run out - although DRM will be all over them.

They've been collecting pre-orders for a little while but that doesn't mean you can't still get your hands on one (it's hardly the iPhone). As of the 16th October, the music filled handset will be available to buy. And it's available in eight different colours, which is good news for those who aren't a fan of the one pictured above.

Whether it's compatible with other Nokia handsets still remains a mystery. If anyone buys the phone, please let us know if this is a possibility or not - we'd love to know.

ComesWithMusic is the usual DRM-infested rubbish. Labels have pushed the subscription idea and consumers have consistently rejected it for ten years now - it's not clear how wishful thinking will make it work this time around.

I think Nokia is hoping to appeal to the younger generations who are maybe unaware (or not as aware) of the many attempts to entice consumers to subscribe to music. I think the inclusion of a Nokia handset will appeal greatly to teenagers.
