Touchscreen Eee PCs have been announced, I repeat touchscreen Eee PCs *have* been announced. Those lucky enough to be given access to CES in January will get a sneak preview of the new netbooks in all their finger tapping glory. The rest of you us (I'm not going), will have to wait until their official launch in QI 2009.
Exact specs for these new models haven't been decided yet, but Asus is hoping to pack them with dual-core atom processors as soon as Intel starts shipping over those chips. It's not just touchscreens that's on the horizon for the Eee PC, an uber cheap budget model is on the way too, for a pocket friendly price of $307 USD.
