According to those geeks over at Android guys, LG and Samsung's Android offerings won't be with us until some time late next year, which left a bit of ambiguity over Motorola's efforts. Well, the haziness has cleared somewhat and the arrival of Motorola's Android phone has been getting less and less uncertain. So, Motorola's been showing off a touchscreen phone that will apparently steal some of its design from the Krave (pictured above), which was released in the US last week. Motorola's Android handset sounds good enough to give the G1 a run for its money too.
As we've already established, it's touchscreen and it'll be about the same size as the iPhone. It'll also be packing in a QWERTY keyboard and focus profusely on social networking features.
Those who've had access to its spec sheets have described it as a higher-end model of the G1, but at a lower price, which indicates we're soon to witness a ferocious battle of the Androids. Motorola bigwigs may be showing off their new handset now, but it won't be launching till at least until Q2 2009, which still gives LG and Samsung a chance to pull their socks up bring out the second handset to use the Android platform
