Looking at the handset in the picure conjures up a sense of Déjà vu doesn't it - have we been here, seen it, done it before? It appears that way, but it's all just an illusion. What differentiates the Prada II from the original LG Prada collaboration is what's under the chassis - a slim metallic slide out QWERTY keyboard- always a handy feature on a handset for blogging, texting, writing emails etc. If the sound of a QWERTY keyboard isn't enough to generate enthusiasm, you might be interested to know the touchscreen is still very much a part of the new version. Together, the "silver keyboard along with the additional on-screen, call and hang-up buttons gives fresh tactility to the original minimal concept".

It's upped its specs too, now offering 3G/HSDPA connectivity, video calling, full HTML browsing, WiFi, FM radio and a 5 megapixel camera, complete with Schneider-Kreuznach certified lens.
Europe will be getting first dibs on the designer handset, which makes a nice change to the usual 'out in America first' rule. It should be hitting the shelves in Q4 of this year for around 600 Euros.
