First a new Playstation, now a new Wii could be on the way

With all this excitement surrounding new games consoles (there's a new Playstation 4 and Nintendo DSi on the horizon if you haven't heard), enthusiastic gamers must be constantly fanning themselves from excitable fits of hyperventilation, not to mention saving their hard earned pennies and mentally preparing for their arrival and much gameage. It's not just the Playstation 4 that's due to make an appearance in 2011 though. A website called What They Play claims to have been informed by multiple sources that a new Wii is on the way - the Wii HD. Like the Playstation 4, it's tipped for a 2011 release, so there's still a bit of a way to go.

According to these sources, there won't be any drastic changes with the Wii HD. However it could feature digitally distributed content and backwards compatible games. As we already know, Nintendo does not comment on speculation or rumour, but we can all still hope eh?
