Customised Gameboy iPhone interface for Nintendo nostalgia

15 to 20 years ago, this is probably what the iPhone’s user interface would have looked like. Thank god that wasn’t the case. There’s probably not a great deal of you secretly pining for the old Gameboy user interface to make a comeback, what with the development of crystal clear and HD screen resolutions for our mobiles, handhelds and games consoles. But there’s one Gameboy fan who hasn’t quite let it go and has developed a customised theme for the iPhone, to rekindle Gameboy playing memories, complete with that vomit inspired, pixelated pea soup coloured interface. It even has Gameboy style icons for custom apps.

If you want to inject a bit of nostalgia into your glossy handset, firstly you’ll need to jailbreak it (unlocks your iPhone to allow third party apps to be run), then you need to pay a visit to iGameboy and get a’ downloading.
