Until you can crack brazil nuts between your thighs, you're no one in this world. Some of us get a head start when someone makes a nutcracker in our image, some of us just have to spend a long time on the thighmaster at the gym.
Spock and Kirk have gone the nutcracker route, and are dead fancy, since they're both hand painted and 'embellished with authentic details'. Presumably that's an authentic Communicator in Captain Kirk's hand then.
