What time is it? Choc o' clock

If it wasn't for the chocolate factor of this alarm clock, it really wouldn't be worth mentioning. I mean, just look at the clock's retro design - hideous in every sense of the word and very reminiscent of something you'd find in a car boot sale. So let's focus on what's important - it dispenses chocolate. Like a cuckoo poking its head out on the hour every hour of its wooden surroundings, the Chococlock delivers a piece of chocolate to the tune of the 'Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy' in the same manner. You'll need to be quick though - if you snooze you will lose. Leave your chocolate hanging around for more than 30 seconds and it goes to the little clock fairies working the insides of your clock I would imagine.

You'll need to fill it with your own chocolate, so something of the spherical variety (or near enough) would suffice - Maltesers, Revels, Minstrels, Aero Bubbles. What a great incentive to get things done or to get your lazy ass out of bed in the morning (if you like chomping on chocolate the minute you wake up). However, the clock features a cheat button for the impatient cheater in all of us, that'll give you access to your chocolate stash whenever you need your chocolaty fix.

For £19.95 from Firebox, the Chococlock would make any chocoholic's day.

I would probably put in skittles or some kind of sugary treat when I need to take a break from stuffing my face with chocolate. And I would definitely be taking advantage of that cheat button - genius.

  • That is fun. I remember we had a cuckoo clock at home when I was little. Oh and I love how it retract after 30 secs. I would probably put in skittles of other fruit drops. Let me see how much it is...
