ABBA fans, start training those voice boxes for the ultimate sing-off with SingStar and ABBA. Well not with the actual ABBA, that would probably cost you thousands and thousands of pounds, but they've lent their names and songs to SingStar so you can belt out hits such as 'Mamma Mia', 'Gimme Gimme Gimme' and 'Dancing Queen' with as much enthusiasm that'll be sure to drive your family/flatmates crazy - unless they're totally into a bit of computer karaoke too. That means singing along in your own home, with your own mic, as many times as you like, rather than having to wait in line for the karaoke at your local.
That's right, ABBA has signed a deal with SingStar to bring their much loved hits to the PS2 and PS3 for a good ole' Christmas sing-a-long. While some people would prefer to feel fat, over fed and lethargic around the Christmas season, pop star wannabes across the nation will be singing their little hearts out to the tunes of the famous foursome.
Feel free to create and don your own ABBA style costumes - that means platforms, camel toe/figure hugging flairs, leotards, super short mini dresses and foil, apparently. Oooh, and don't forget the glaringly bright, colour clashing material too.
Europe and the US will get exclusive access to the game until December 2009, when the rest of the world gets to have an ABBA sing song too.
