Hotels.com2.JPGHotel hunting has just been made less dull. Searching for a hotel to keep you cosy on your next holiday shouldn't have to be a boring monotonous task. That's exactly what Hotels.com had in mind when they created a personalised search tool, designed to find your ideal hotel based a series of pictures you want your hotel and holiday to encompass. Who knew the use of pictures summing up different experiences could make searching for a hotel so much fun.

You're provided with a bunch of different scenarios that'll determine the kind of hotel and holiday experience you're after. This includes the following - 'This is the room style that suits me...', 'My idea of a fun night on this trip...', and 'I'm planning to do this most...'. This also includes restaurant preferences. You then need to choose from one of the pictures provided. Unfortunately, the site doesn't provide you with a huge range of pictures, just general experiences. So if you're after an experience that could be deemed 'questionable', you might have to find another website.

It's a first for the travel industry and it officially launched today. Go on, give it a try for your next short trip or holiday - it sure beats wading through long lists of hotels until you come across one that might be suitable.
