Dell and Vodafone pair up for some broadband laptop action

dell-and-vodafone-thumb-200x85.jpgHopelessly waiting for a free (and sometimes paid for) WiFi hotspot to kick in can be a painfully frustrating experience (which was only reaffirmed for me this week in Gatwick airport)! Well, Dell and Vodafone has the answer to our stunting problems, so hopefully no more laptop biting/banging of the keyboard tantrums for you - only if you're willing to shell out at least £300 for the Inspiron Mini 9. But what's money when you're preventing the bursting of blood vessels?

From the end of the month, the Inspiron Mini 9 which will feature built-in mobile broadband from Vodafone, will be available to get your internet loving mitts on - which is great coz that's when a majority of us get paid. That means instant internet action wherever takes your fancy - hassle free.

The laptop itself is a glossy little lappy, with an 8.9-inch LED screen, 1GB of RAM, up to 16GB SSD, Windows XP, media card reader and integrated 1.3 megapixel webcam.

It will be available directly from Dell or Vodafone stores and online. There's no word on the price, but we're being promised details soon. We do know this much - the standard version (as in no broadband) is £299.
