The future of the newspaper is looking bleak. Not only are sales plummeting in favour of electronic news, but now an electronic newspaper reader has reared its head, tipped to further plummet the newspaper into obscurity. Why? Because it stores and displays hundreds of pages of content and updates wirelessly, that's why. The cynic in you is probably saying, "A laptop could just do that", well au contraire my pessimistic friends. The aim is to mimic the look, but not the feel of printed newspapers. So it's going to come in the form of a lightweight plastic screen that's "big enough to provide a newspaper layout", and is easy to cart around to enable you to keep checking those news updates.
The unnamed device uses the same technology as the Sony eReader which launched recently, so will really appeal to your inner geek. It's fair to say, you're probably going to have to really be into your news or want a personal document reader to actually want to purchase one - especially if they're a tad pricey. We couldn't tell you the price, or what titles it'll display, or whether it'll be making its way to UK - Plastic Logic is keeping this information to themselves. Either way the electronic newspaper reader is coming sometime next year.

So where are we going to get out wrappers if newspapers become instinct? Kidding aside, this reader is tops in mobility but it can never replace the feel of newspapers. Nothing beats newsprint or the bookpaper traditional newspapers. Well, one thing going for this reader is that you can indeed brign this to the john!
