It might be the year of the rat, but today is definitely the day of the Canon camera. As if launching five brand spanking new cameras wasn't enough, Canon has another camera for you to drool over. It's a 21.1 megapixel DSLR monster, packed with enough specs to keep you entertained and take you on many photographic escapades, not to mention rival the Nikon D90. For a start it features Canon's full frame CMOS sensor, with ISO sensitivity up to 25,600 for capturing those dark snaps.

As seen in the newly launched G10, the EOS 5D features Canon's new DIGIC-4 processor to produce "exceptional image quality" at 3.9 frames per second, for up to 310 frames. HD video capture is also part of the package, so you can shoot as much videos as you like at full high definition resolution (1080p) at 3.9fps.

A few other improvements have been made since the last model too (EOS 5D), including a much nicer 3-inch LCD screen with VGA resolution, anti-reflective coatings, Canon's integrated cleaning system and an improved menu system.

It'll be available from the end of November (just in time for Christmas) for a whopping £2299.99 (body only).
