Medion has just announced an Intel Centrino 2 powered laptop that's lightweight (2.7kg) with a 15.4-inch screen. The main emphasis on this notebook is its high portability without "compromising on specifications or features". So let's talk specs and features. The most standout feature is the 2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo P7350 processor. That means increased processing power and longer battery life. Other than that, it packs 3GB of RAM, a 320GB hard drive and runs Windows Vista Home Premium Edition. Customers are also given the option to substitute the DVD optical drive for an additional 320GB hard drive disc, with an extended capacity battery that'll give you up to ten hours of power.
It's also got a 1.3 megapixel webcam, a 4-in-1 memory card reader and two USB ports. As it's a 1080p high definition model, it also has a HDMI port to handle your multimedia high definition output. The laptop also boasts wireless and Ethernet connectivity and an 'Eco' button that reduces power consumption. The security conscious will appreciate its biometric fingerprint reader, as it will ensure your computer remains safe from prying eyes.
Design wise the S5610 is clad in a dark grey metallic finish, with a blue backlighting system and an ergonomic trackpad, which has been integrated into the panel below the keyboard.
It's reasonably priced at £499.99 (incl. VAT) and will be available at the end of the month from your local Sainsburys, so you can pick one up along with your weekly shop.
