Samsung takes Sony Ericsson's 8 megapixel challenge, and raises them 16GB

The problem with making an announcement in the mobile phone world is that you instantly make the knowledge available for rivals to outdo you in the spec stakes. Sony Ericsson must be feeling a bit worried at the moment, after seeing these leaked photos of an imminent Samsung phone, also packing an 8 megapixel punch.

But there's more. Like the C905, this phone features HSDPA, WiFi and a Xenon flash. But unlike the C905, this Samsung phone, dubbed the i8510, will pack in 16GB of internal storage - useful if you're taking photos with an 8 megapixel sensor.

Real? Fake? Couldn't care less because you think having an 8 megapixel camera in a phone is ridiculous? You decide.
