Samsung joins the 8 megapixel club with the INNOV8

samsung-8mp-thumb-200x200.jpgSexy phone alert! Samsung's new 8 megapixel INNOV8 has a bit of a HTC Diamond look about it (but not enough that it's a blatant knock-off), which just adds to its gorgeousness. The INNOV8 now joins Ericsson in the bid for top 8 megapixel phone - and what a contender. Last month, photos of this perty handset were unleashed on the world, but were they real, were they fake? They were completely real.

We already know the INNOV8 has an 8 megapixel camera, but to add to its already high appeal, it's got autofocus, smile shot, blink shot, face recognition and double LED flash. These are all accessible at the touch of a button.

It packs a hefty storage space too, with both 8GB and 16GB models, so plenty of photo, music and video storage for you. Fancy a bit of TV on the move? The INNOV8 encourages it by supporting DivX, WMV, Real Player and Mpeg 4 video. Web users need not worry about slow internet surfing as it features HSDPA and WiFi.

Despite what it looks like, it's not a touchscreen phone, but that doesn't matter one little bit. Your audio experience is supported with external speakers and 3D surround sound, and best of all, it has a 3.5mm jack, which might mean nothing to you, but is huge pain in a lot of people's backsides when they're forced to use designated headsets.

So basically, the phone's hot, and it'll give you around 510 minutes talk time. It's out in August, so just one month to go (woohoo).

Still no sign of LG or Motorola's efforts though.
