Officially speaking, the new app store should launch on Friday, ready for the public to take advantage of the new functionality when the iPhones get made available. However, unnamed sources/rumourmongers/voices in the wind are suggesting that it might launch tomorrow, Thursday, at 5pm GMT.
It's reasoned by the folks over at Music Ally that this is because New Zealand get their stock at 12.01am their time, which makes it 1pm here. No doubt the Kiwis will want to get their hands on those delicious apps asap, so there's some merit in launching it early.
We will wait with breath suitably bated.
