You're supposed to wrap these glowing things round your glass, which enables you to find it when you wake up dehydrated from pizza and wine a general lack of H2O. Because seeing a glowing ring hover above your bedside table isn't in any way worse than a bit of night time thirst...

I have a glow-in-the-dark plcaemat rather than a ring. Saves arsing around if you change glass/mug, not to mention it works with any item, so you can pop your phone on there, or anything else you may need to find quickly in the dark ;)
