Move over N95, your time in the limelight is so over. Your older brother (or sister) has been teasing us with its good looks and superb sounding specs for long enough. It was easy to forget about this bad boy in light of the iPhone 3G, but now the hype has died down (ish), here's another phone to lose sleep over. The long-awaited N96 is finally due to be unleashed onto phone hungry civilians on the first day of October.
The wait is over (kind of) and what a wait it's been. We first heard about the N96 back in Feb and how excited and giddy it made us. Why? Because it packs 16GB of expandable memory, a 2.7-inch QVGA screen, built in GPS, HSDPA, WiFi and that good old 5 megapixel camera with flash and 30fps video recording. As well as that, it also packs a DVB-H television receiver.
No word on pricing details as yet folks, but expect to see it from Orange T-Mobile, Vodafone and 3 as soon as shops open on October 1.
Hype yourself up here with a video of the N96 in action and don't forget the oohing and ahhing.

Glad that theres finally a release date, but not too happy with the date itself.
Having already pre-ordered, I was expecting it in Q3, not the begining of Q4. Just Nokia's very vague answers to release date questions has also been very annoying.
Pre-ordering with the date being increasingly pushed back must be one of the most annoying experiences in the world!
