AA batteries at the ready for the emergency phone charger

Comments (1)

Emergency_phone_charger.jpgThere are loads of mobile phone chargers out there - some eco-friendly and some not so much. This really cute and pocket-friendly Emergency Phone Charger won't earn any green points, but it's sooo cute and colourful it can be forgiven.

Like Ronseal, the Emergency Phone Charger does exactly what it says on the tin (or plastic/cardboard packaging). There's not much to this blue metal tube, so as you might expect, it's very simple to use. Instead of whining about a dead battery, purchase one of these and get an extra two hours of talk time by popping in an AA battery and plugging it into your phone. This version will also charge up your iPod too (handy).

It's cheap too - £6.95 from IWOOT. For that price, perhaps it's worth buying for those life or death low battery situations.

If you like that, you might like a slightly more useful version. The Duracell My Pocket Charger (soon to be released as just the Pocket Charger in Europe) uses *two* AA batteries to give you twice the runtime of the single AA version. And it's comfortable shape makes it nice to hold. Available for as low as $15.99US (see Google search link - http://www.google.com/products?q=duracell+pocket+charger).
