For those of you who are big fans of stalking people online, this is good news for you! For the rest of us who sort of enjoy our online privacy? Not so much. Valleywag reports that Byron Ng, a Canadian computer technician who is rather good at finding holes in web security, and has "discovered that Yahoo's integration with MySpace makes it easy to view photos for any profile". However he hasn't' discovered just anyone's private profile pics, oh no, he's discovered Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan's. OMG!
Apparently, because all of us Web 2.0 whores feel the need to sign up to ever freakin' social networking site known to man, web companies have cut back on that whole security thing so we don't have to type in our login details over and over again. They feel that when it comes to data portability, they don't mind scrimping on actually protecting your data if it means you can add more friends and update your statuses as quickly and easily (and unsafely) as possible Ugh.
