Despite what you might read, the Mac OS isn't for everyone. Perhaps you're after something MacbookAir-esque, but with an OS you're more familiar with. Bingo.
This HP laptop shaves three fiftieths of an inch (0.06) off the Macbook Air, which I believe is the official measurement of a sliver. Added to this, you get an optical drive bundled in the box (there's no room for one actually *in* a laptop weighing 1.54kg), a 13.3-inch display, HDMI port, USB port and carbon fibre casing.
Trumping the Macbook Air again, the ethernet connection on the laptop can actually be found in the power brick - a novel solution to a problem as old as time. There's also a replacable battery.
Finally, the laptop packs Splashtop, which allows users to instantly access the internet without having to boot up Windows. Sounds perfect, no? I guess that makes the only snagging point the $2,100 price tag.
