It seems Asus are a tad unimpressed with their 'smallest laptop' title which they achieved with the Eee PC 900 and 901 models. This is because they're reportedly about to abandon the diminutive laptop frame and unleash two new versions of the Eee PC with bigger bodies - the 904 and 905.
According to inside moles at the DigiTimes, the two new models will retain the 8.9-inch screen but will both have an Intel Atom processor and will come in the same 10.2-inch bodies as the 1000 series. This allows Asus to expand the Eee PCs keyboard, whilst simultaneously silencing those who criticised it immensely for having a small keyboard. It may also facilitate increases in storage space and battery life.
The bad news is the compact 900 and 901 models could be replaced - which seems to go against the Eee PCs initial purpose. The good news is they will still retail at a similar price.
