This is the only time you'd actually welcome a mouse in you home (unless you're my dirty brother living at uni). This cute little LED lamp is available in two colours - pink and white. The white version produces a light-blue glow when switched on and the pink version, a dark red shade.
I think they would make a cute desktop companion, in a similar manner to the way Ratatouille provided companionship to Alfredo Linguini. Obviously your version won't talk back to you but I guess you can talk to it, if you're into that kind of thing.
