By 2033, PCs will have taken on "many different shapes and sizes", and the PC of this era will be a million times more powerful than today's PC systems. How unbelievably amazing would it be to control your computer by just thinking the commands? I know I've thought about controlling my computer with my mind many a time and *so* wish it was a reality.
The future has a lot in store for us. There will be wearable systems built into clothing and small hand-held devices that project holographic forms of input and output devices. These will provide keyboards, mice and 2D displays for those who can't let go of the 'traditional' computing methods when times change. Sounds incredibly cool doesn't it? Well don't get too excited just yet. These are just the predictions of David Prichard, the senior technology strategist at Fujitsu Siemens Computers.
He also predicts many of us will be using voice recognition and 3D holographic projections. Even retinal image displays that are built-into spectacles or sunglasses. Roll on 2033 (well maybe not too quickly I'll be close to 50!!!), it will be very interesting to see how technology develops in the future. I can't wait (kind of).
