Losing stuff sucks. Losing keys, losing marbles, losing tents. Especially tents. Ever been to a festival, gone out, got wasted, only to return to a sea of tents with the exact same distinguishing features as yours? Yeah, snap - I'm no Scout Leader when it comes to identifying canvas....

The guys behind Loc8tor have produced a smaller, cheaper version of their product, the Loc8tor Lite. It comes with two tags, which you attach to whatever it is you intend to lose, and then you stick the credit-card sized locator in your back pocket. Go out, see some bands, drink some pear cider, and then use the locator to make your way back to the tent, via the beeps and lights.

It'll work as long as you're within 122 metres of the tag, and you can buy an additional two tags, if there are lots of things you're going to lose.

40 quid from Maplin.
