Do you suspect your boyfriend/girlfriend is cheating on you? Do you think your mate might be hiding a secret of gargantuan proportion? Or perhaps you're just a bit of a nosey bugger and simply like to spy.
Forget those old skool undercover methods of spying, like rummaging through pockets, checking collars for lipstick, sneaking a quick peak at your other half's phone when they're out of the room, infiltrating emails and Facebook pages etc (I'll stop here there are just so many). We've become a distrustful nation and to cater for this apparent suspicion, the spyware industry has a nice selection of spying gadgets for those undercover stealth detective missions. Check out our top 5 spy gadgets after the jump.
1. The Sim Recovery Pro
Any dubious and distrustful person knows that the first port of call for some serious snooping is the mobile phone. The Sim Recovery Pro allows you to read incriminating text messages, check any late night calls and unknown numbers. The only hurdle though, getting that phone from your victim who will no doubt be watching their phone like a hawk. Once achieved, take out their sim card, slot it into the Sim Recovery Pro USB stick and voila the entire contents of their phone will be at your perusal.
2. The Key Shark
Before I even knew what it did, the name just sounded cool (I'm gonna get that bastard with my Key Shark) - see. Emails are a cheaters playground coz they're free to send naughty emails without the risk of someone reading them (unless you leave your computer open and leave your desk, but then you're just inviting people to read your stuff). Intercepting emails can be a bit tricky. That is, unless you have the Shark Key. Plug the Shark Key in between the keyboard and the computer and this nifty little device will record every single typed keystroke. Yes that includes passwords as well.
3. Car Tracker
Like Ronseal, this does exactly what it says on the tin. It tracks cars. Gone are the days of donning a disguise complete with wig and glasses. Track your cheating lover from the comforts of your own home. This little black box can be attached to almost all vehicles. The tracker uses GPS technology to locate the vehicles whereabouts. This info is then relayed back to your computer.
4. Super mini-CCD camera
Sony's CCD pinhole camera is designed for some seriously subtle spying. It's the smallest on the market and therefore not obtrusive and should go unnoticed in your home. Squeeze it into the tightest places as all it needs is a pin sized hole to capture that adulterous footage. It can even transmit high-res images in a low light.
5. Landline Bug
We've already seen a device that cleverly extracts mobile phone information. This device on the other hand is a lot trickier and might prove a tad difficult to install if you're a bit of a tech novice or never taken apart a phone before. You'll need to attach the device to the speech wires in the phone socket. Once you've completed what sounds like a time consuming task, you're free to eavesdrop on both sides of all conversations. The receiver can also be connected to a voice-activated recorder, so you won't have to listen to boring convo, just the real juicy bits. Extra caution is needed with this one. You'll get in some serious trouble if caught using this without a license.
These gadgets put an end to wondering. Get up off your arse and find out for yourself. Remember the context of your mission and the legal implications when using some of these gadgets. You don't want to go through all that trouble spying only to have your cover blown. Go on, take away every vestige of your suspect's privacy and become their puppet master...mwooohahaha.
