Yesterday I brought your attention to the new handset from T-Mobile and HTC, and today I bring your attention back to the HTC Diamond. Notice any similarity? It seems T-Mobile have re-branded it the MDA Compact 1V, and added a few new screenshots, and voila, a new phone! However this time around we're getting TWO new handsets, the MDA Compact 1V and the MDA Vario 1V. They're pretty identical phones, except the Vario has the added extras of having an SD card slot, oooh and a slide out QWERTY keypad (yes, I also though HTC Dual). It looks a lot slicker though, with its 'exclusive T-Mobile design' and updated camera and memory.
The MDA Compact 1V has a 4GB internal memory as well as an integrated GPS module, as well as a 2.8 inch TFT screen. It works with an Opera Browser or Internet Explorer Mobile, and is compatible with My Faves as well. It uses integrated HSDPA and HSUPA technology for fast browsing speeds and works with Push email.
It's pretty identical to the MDA Vario 1V, but there are a couple of differences, namely being that the Compact 1V measures in at 12mm thick and 98g in weight compared to 18.1 mm thick and 158g. It does have a slide out keyboard though, so you can't really fault the extra size. The Vario 1V also has a SD card slot as opposed to internal flash memory and it also doesn't have an exact release date, while the Compact 1V is available from July.
It will retail from £0-189 depending on contract and has all the expected HTC features, such as a 3D touch screen, TouchFlo technology and a seriously friendly user interface,
