The R4 has been designed to integrate a number of audio formats into one player. So, the R4 is a compact disc player, iPod dock, USB playback port, DAB/FM tuner with auxiliary inputs, all connected to an 80W audiophile-grade amplifier and speaker system.
It also has Vita Audio’s trademark rotodial, which can be detached and used as a remote which fits neatly into the back of the dock when you’ve finished. The R4 is available in two very plush designs – either rich walnut veneer (£499.99), or dream white piano lacquer (£549.99).
Dubbed as a traditional music player for the 21st century, the R4 is available in June. It seems that it’s luxurious nature has spread to its retail distributors as well. It will be available from Harrods, John Lewis, Paul Smith, Selfridges and House of Fraser.
