This seems like a very good idea indeed. Having spent a lot of time in hotel rooms listening to music through my tinny laptop speakers, the idea of having something small you can bung into the USB port makes sense. Girls Aloud just isn't the same unless you can hear the full nuances of their lyrics.

Way cool. One of the problems I have with regular speakers is that somehow they keep... ummm... thumping, perhaps because they're near other cables. There's a constant helicopter-type noise. Drives me nuts. This would solve the problem, I think.
actually have had one of these for several months (courtesy of ebay...) and it's fantastic - i can now hear laptop sound without having to shut the windows turn my fan off or crane to hear...
the only thing is i'd rather it was more compact and didn't stick out so much, occassionally I've knocked it off whilst moving my laptop.
