Creative Vado video camera fills a possibly non-existant gap

With more and more phones coming with the ability to capture video, it's questionable as to whether there's really a market for cheapo video cams. However, it's a question Creative are prepared to answer one way or the other, with the launch of their Creative Vado camera.

Available in silver or pink, it shoots 640x480 VGA footage, which can be stored on the internal memory of 2GB. It's then just a case of slipping out the USB plug from the bottom and uploading it to your favourite video sharing site. There's a two-inch LCD screen, but little else in the way of functionality - you won't find any mic inputs or zooming here.

Still, as we're well aware, there are certain phones that haven't deigned to include video shooting capabilities, so perhaps this is for those guys. Can you see iPhone customers toting this, though?

There's currently some questions over the price, but it's going to have to be cheap. There's a similar product called the Disgo Video Plus, and you can lay your hands on one for £69.99. When it's launched, you'll be able to get one from
