Would it be SCART leads? Would it be laser pointers? Nope, a survey of 2,000 people found the vinyl record to be the technology most Brits would like to see saved from extinction.
The survey by MoneySupermarkets.com found CDs to be second on the list of tech we're afraid of losing. And the fear's well-founded - Woolworths has decided to stop selling CD singles thanks to the popularity of music downloads. The decision was made in lieu of this year's poor sales - only a third of what they were in last year. (Source)

It appears that even the existence of superior technology like DVDs and the Digital Camera cannot displace the affectionate nostalgia we feel for good 'ol VCRs and Polaroids. And even the convenience of tea bags cannot eradicate the beloved Teas Maid.
