Well, the rumours were right - Asus is going to be unveiling its desktop answer to the eeePC at a trade show next week. The box will be called the Ebox, and bears a striking resemblance to a Wii, with the addition of some flowery etching and what looks like an aluminium stand (flowers seem a very brave move for a desktop).

Specs wise, we'll be looking at a 120GB hard drive with 2GB of RAM, running the same version of Linux as the eeePC (chances are, there'll be an XP version somewhere in the pipeline).

Cost is also rumoured to be firmly on the reasonable side, with some saying it could cost less than the eeePC, which is a measly £200.
