Zombie motion-powered USB laser musical instrument

laserb.jpgI have to admit that I did pop into Sharper Image last time I was in the States, because it's one way to pretend that technology is still the domain of magical pixies with laser beams. Especially when it produces stuff like this laser beam music system, which is powered by USB. The W shape and laser beams mean you can use your hands or fingers to produce sound. With 30 original songs in 19 genres to choose from, you can use the six 'strings' to play pulses, streams, riffs and loops - a bit like those 80s synths, if you can cast your mind back that far. If the picture's anything to go by, however, you'll end up looking more Frankenstein's monster than Minority Report cop.

Looking like a laser zombie will cost you $599 from April 15th.
