There seems to be an abundance of people on the internet who are willing to sell their time, belongings or souls, lock, stock and barrel, in exchange for a few quid. And I'm not talking about the eBay regulars. David Horvitz is offering to fulfil a number of tasks if you pay him a specific amount of money. But it's not your average lawn mowing service.
For instance, for $4,444 he will go to the island of St Helena, take a photo of the sky and mail it to you. $437 bags you a photo of him hanging out with his best friend every day, as well as a link to a YouTube video of them apologising after any fights. He'll go and buy a homeless person a meal for $30 and if you're on a budget, for one dollar he will sit and think about you for one minute.
Odd certainly, whimsical definitely, and a great way of getting other people to finance your travels, quite probably. File under 'damn I wish I'd come up with that'.
